White Light Parade’s Message to Gordon Brown
With the release of their debut album ‘House Of Commons’ next week, White Light Parade have released a message to Gordon Brown regarding the state of the nation. The original message features as part of the album artwork and in the current climate of mistrust the poem is particularly apt.
House Of Commons – A Message to Gordon Brown
In the House of Commons it goes like this,
They take from the poor and they give to the rich,
They’ll never be common with blood on their hands,
Born into money they don’t understand,
With chauffeurs and maids and public bought cars,
In the real world they wouldn’t get far,
We scrimp and we save and we live on death row,
While they’re splashing out on the tax payers dough,
In the House of Commons they feed us with lies,
They think that we’re stupid, we know what they’re like,
A common sense party is all that we need,
Instead we have leaders driven by greed,
This is our homeland we fought for our rights,
They’re losing their grip while we’re losing our minds,
So don’t replace us or treat us like mugs,
You won’t pick up the pieces you’ll leave that to us.
