We like this track and video a lot from Strategise entitled ‘Turn’ out June 3 on Exit Strategy Records. Afterall it’s not everyday (or is it) that you see a nunchuck-wielding man just swinging those badboys only to stop every now and again to pull his best Bruce Lee in Game Of Death stance. Hai-Ya!

Strategise is the brainchild of South London producer Richard Acosta. With his first single release, the AA side ‘Stay Out’, he looks poised to break into the alternative dance scene. The hazy intro of ‘Stay Out’ soon descends into a hard kick of synth warfare, crashing along like a club classic until its final lift into rave territory.

Altogether more chilled, ‘Turn’ creates the much needed break, weaving in and out of
dreamy passages held together with a distinctive beat. With influences ranging from DJ Shadow to the Doors, dark sounds are the order of the day. Expect to hear much more of this artist in the next few months as he hones his sound.
