Passion for their craft is a trait that many artists claim, but with new EP, ‘King Island Coyote’, released on April 11th Billy Vincent prove that for them it is at the core of the music.

“For us it’s all about passion. If you don’t put your heart and soul into it, it’s pointless. And we give it everything we’ve got,” affirms co-singer and songwriter David Vincent.

Together with long-time cohort and best mate Bill Barratt, with whom he began playing music from their time at infant’s school, Billy Vincent create visceral melodies that veer from the heart wrenching to the raucous.

‘King Island Coyote’ perfectly showcases Billy Vincent’s musicianship and lyricism in its four captivating tracks. From the poignant ‘Prairie Wolves’ to the tenacious ‘They Break Bones’ contrasting with the mournful ‘Trouble Never Comes Alone’ and the deceptively sprightly ‘Tubes/Wires’, their latest EP is the ideal introduction to the band’s distinctive sound, dubbed by the band themselves as ‘dirty folk’.

Taking a break from touring, writing and recording with InMe, front man and song writer DAVE MCPHERSON has, after a collection of single and EP releases, finally pieced together a heartfelt and heartbreaking collection of solo, acoustic songs for his debut album release, ‘The Hardship Diaries’, which is set for release on April 10th. Antlered Man are set to release their debut single, ‘Surrounded By White Men’ through Something Nothing on the 18th April 2011.

Danny Fury (guitar), Damo Ezekiel Holmes (vocals), Sam Ray (Bass) and Oliver Parker (Drums) are the core members that started the group in early 2009. The quartet cut their teeth playing in various rock/punk bands before coming together to create what can only be described as something oddly complete. Also in the ranks is Sarah Townsend (flute).

MAX RAPTOR are set to follow up their first two single releases (‘Ghosts’ in Oct and ‘The Great and the Good’ in March last year) with their debut 8-track mini-album ‘’Portraits’ on 11th April ’11 through Naim Edge Records.

An independent artist living in Berlin, Kroft chronicles life in the 21st century and the adventures of his own spirit. Widely unknown in Europe, he considers himself in exile from the UK.
His debut album was released in July 2010 and made considerable impact on the blogosphere before returning swiftly to obscurity.

New song ‘Memoirs from the Afterlife’ is like Esther´s staircase set to music. The same melody migrating through different keys, a paradox leading endlessly back on itself. In this way it attempts to portray the shifting realities facing modern man. The song posits that in the myriad of uncertainties, the polarization of ideas and the morphing of cultures, understanding can only come through acquiescence before the great tide of things.

It’s time for something acoustically refreshing. Devon-born Josh Bray is emerging onto the folk-blues scene with his debut album ‘Whisky and Wool’, released March 7th, 2011 on NewTide Records.

Australian piano trio Trichotomy ahead of their new album release ‘The Gentle War’ on 24th January on Naim Jazz announce a free download and video for the album’s opener ‘Chase’.

Inspired after recording their second album, Isla, with legendary producer John Leckie at Abbey Road, the band decided that while they still loved Knee-Deep they would welcome the opportunity to revisit the albums mixes again. The album was duly withdrawn from circulation earlier this year and the band invited John Leckie to remix it for a re-issue on the Real World label, also home to Isla.
