MAX RAPTOR release new single CAROLINA on 27th Feb 2012 through Naim Edge Records + UK co-headline tour with HILDAMAY

Fusing classic punk attitude, an astute sensibility to a ballsy riff, a very British narrative and infectious hook-fuelled chant, Midlands’ quartet Max Raptor continue their swift ascent to rock n’ roll eminence with new single ‘Carolina’, taken from the critically acclaimed debut mini-album ‘Portraits’.

Heralded for their forthright sketches of modern society, the gritty omniscience of new single Carolina is the perfect calling card for one of the most original up-and-coming alt-rock bands of our time. This dismal yet somehow charming portrayal of the British ultimate dysfunctional family could not be more apt amidst headlines of austerity with the tender wounds of a riotous summer still healing. Carolina is a 21st century punk anthem sparked by the imperfections of human nature; an alcoholic, abusive father, bitter and aggressively defensive of failure; a fragile yet desperately narcissistic mother who longs to be noticed; an older sister who knows nothing other than to use her sexuality as her escape; and a younger brother, coarsely wrought by all of the above, unemployed, hopeless and destined to become his own father.

Bristolian jazzy post-rockers GET THE BLESSING return with their third album OC DC, released on 5th March 2012 on Naim Label.

OC DC once again finds Get The Blessing elbowing their way out of easy categorisation. The Bristol-based four-piece have deftly ploughed their jazzy post-rock furrow since the release of their debut All Is Yes back in 2008, drawing enthusiastic comparisons to similarly inventive acts like Tortoise and Polar Bear. The follow-up, 2009’s Bugs In Amber, cemented their affable rapport with critics and fans alike, and further defied the boundaries and boxes that were placed around them – the Metro claimed in its glowing review that, “Occasionally you hear a jazz album that you know would shift truckloads of units if only it weren’t labelled ‘jazz’. Bugs In Amber is just such a disc.”

Imperial Leisure to release sophomore album and tour UK

Get ready for Imperial Leisure’s next outrageous cava-drenched skank-a-thon across the UK in March and April. The tour will celebrate the release of Imperial Leisure’s latest fan-funded album ‘Death To The One Trick Pony’ – a happy fusion of ska, punk, and hip hop featuring their cheeky lyrics and trademark high octane sound.

‘Death To The One Trick Pony’ is the band’s sophomore album release that includes last year’s ghoulish single ‘Dead Model’ and the band’s latest single ‘London To Brighton’. Released in support of BHSA (Brighton Hove Skate Park), ‘London To Brighton’ is a prime example of the band’s catchy and high-energy vibe.
