Samsung Mobile – The Last Call
The BEAT Edition presents THE LAST CALL
Love dancing? Love music? Love to win €10,000 and rep your country in what is being hailed as ‘The Eurovision Dance Contest’? Well Alrighty Then!
The Last Call is a brand new dance competition running from now until July 8th 2009, across Europe.
On July 7th, chosen contestants from around Europe will compete in a 24 hour dance-off at Matter (nightclub) at the O2 in London.
With a Samsung BEAT Edition DJ music phone, continuous playlist and a set of headphones, all 100 finalists must dance non-stop, hoping not to receive a single phone call or text from friends or family over the 24 hour period. If they do, they’re eliminated. There Can Be Only One!
The last contestant dancing will be crowned champion and will win €10,000 to spend on a night out with Swedish pop star September – and keep the change! Plus their trusted Samsung Beat DJ music phone which got them through the dance-off.
From June 8th – 15th, anyone over 18 can enter The Last Call via the www.thelastcall.tv homepage. Upon signing up, competitors should embed the Beat DJ widget to their blog, Facebook and MySpace profiles.
The widget is only active for 48 hours, so to be in with a chance of being selected for the main 24 hour dance-off, entrants must encourage as many people as possible to answer invitation to join calls on the widget from September.
A leader-board channel on the widget will track the progress of competitors from each country and on June 14th the top challengers from each country will represent their national team at the final of The Last Call – The Dance-Off.
In the lead-up to the final, each of the finalists should create a campaign page, with user-generated photographs and videos, and links to follow them on Facebook, Twitter and MySpace, showing off their dance moves etc. Visitors will be able to submit tracks for the dance-off playlist via an application on Spotify and will also be able to send questions and comments, their pledges NOT to telephone or text the finalists, as well as images to be projected live to the venue at the final.
The entire 24 hour final will be streamed live and online through www.thelastcall.tv and a channel on the Beat DJ widget.
It’s a dance-off!
