The visceral anthemia of Midlands punk-rockers Max Raptor will open for The Darkness, who play to a small but eager audience this June, as they limber up for their rock n’ roll comeback with appearances at Sonisphere in Madrid and the legendary Download at Donnington (but to name a few colossal rock festivals!).

Max Raptor announce that they will be streaming their debut mini album ‘Portraits’ over Facebook before the official release date next Monday.
Recorded at Fortress Studios with Dan Weller earlier in the year, ‘Portraits’ perfectly encapsulates their fusion of classic British punk attitude with an astute sensibility to a ballsy riff, forthright narrative and infectious hook-fuelled chant. Portraits will be released on Aprill 11th through Naim Edge Records and will be avaliable to buy on CD and digitally via all the usual outlets.

The anthemic candour of Midlands four-piece Max Raptor fuses classic British punk attitude with an astute sensibility to a ballsy riff, forthright narrative and infectious hook-fuelled chant. Having spent the last year touring, playing live and writing and recording debut material, building up a head of steam, a reputation for raucous and energetic live shows and a UK fan base in the process, Max Raptor are set to follow up their first two single releases (‘Ghosts’ in Oct and ‘The Great and the Good’ in March last year) with their debut 8-track mini-album ‘Portraits’ on 11th April ’11 through Naim Edge Records.

MAX RAPTOR are now set to release their fiery new single ‘Ghosts’ on September 27th through Naim Edge Records (Phantom Limb, William Fitzsimmons, AM), a follow up to the XFM and Kerrang Radio supported debut single release, ‘The Great and the Good’. ‘Ghosts’ is a modern and anthemic visceral assault to the senses. A persuasive and futuristic take on hardcore, blending in melody and rage, scattergun rhythms, mile high riffs and a pure sense of punk rock attitude. The single, produced by Sam Bell (Bloc Party, Weezer, REM), points to a promise of much more to come from this exciting, young UK 4 piece. Look out for a further, full-length release in 2011.
Having cut their carnivorous teeth with support slots with The Zutons, Canadian punk-rockers Billy Talent, and British punk legends The Stranglers, Max Raptor are now heading out on their own headline tour later this month.
Max Raptor sound like…the visceral claws of Great British rock n’ roll frantically disembowelling American alt-rock with a partisan punk attitude. There is nothing remotely Jurassic about this Midland conceived 4 piece whose forthright narrative and devastating live set is spearheading a hungry horde of New Wave British Alt-Rock bands.
