PAY ATTENTION! The first single from Imperial Leisure’s long-anticipated sophomore album ‘Death to the One Trick Pony’ will be released on March 14th.

Capturing the beautiful chaos that is their infamous live show ‘Dead Model’ is a good indication of the album to come. Darker and grittier than its predecessor ‘The Art of Saying Nothing’, the party is still very much in full swing, though the casualties may be racking up!

Part protest song, part working class clarion call, “Thank You For Choosing”, is a brash politicized shard of garage punk rock, replete with thick fuzzy bass, raw chiming riff’s and gravely Weller-esque vocals. It builds from a quietly seething verse of sneered grievances - “The import rates are getting higher, All sold out to the biggest buyer, The fast food chains are getting fatter, Leaves our metabolism in a tatter” spits vocalist Patrick Minhard – into a genuinely euphoric chorus of firework guitars and drum spills that thumbs its nose at authority and resolves to go its own way.

Sensorites release their new single ‘Just Because You Can’ on 15th November 2010 through Hollowhole Records.

Like all classic tracks since the dawn of rock n roll a simple melody tied to a poignant lyric which resonates with the people and reflects the present times will always form a winning solution.

Sensorites have excelled in taking the principles of this rule with their latest single ‘Just Because You Can’ by organically producing a tune that captures the moment just as The Verve’s ‘Bittersweet Symphony’ did in ‘97 and Ian Brown’s ‘F.E.A.R’ did in 2002.

Lead singer, guitarist and songwriter Natham says: “'Just because you can, doesn't mean you should' this mantra had been resonating inside my head for a while, you only have to turn on the news for a minute to appreciate it. Conceived on Piano with equal measures of optimism and despair in human nature 'Just Because You Can' almost wrote itself.”

MAX RAPTOR are now set to release their fiery new single ‘Ghosts’ on September 27th through Naim Edge Records (Phantom Limb, William Fitzsimmons, AM), a follow up to the XFM and Kerrang Radio supported debut single release, ‘The Great and the Good’. ‘Ghosts’ is a modern and anthemic visceral assault to the senses. A persuasive and futuristic take on hardcore, blending in melody and rage, scattergun rhythms, mile high riffs and a pure sense of punk rock attitude. The single, produced by Sam Bell (Bloc Party, Weezer, REM), points to a promise of much more to come from this exciting, young UK 4 piece. Look out for a further, full-length release in 2011.

This summer will see Adam Parker release his debut single ‘Oh My’ on Stray Cat Records on 2nd August.

The track tells a tale of an unexpected sexy encounter with a wistful and thoughtful remembrance layered with tempered guitar hooks and electronic loops. It’s a seamless amalgam of classic singer songwriter sensibilities, indie hook catch ability and the weathered soul of a troubadour, this is intelligent music-making with impeccably high standards and the occasional tongue in cheek humour.

Following an inspiring hiatus where she toured extensively with some of the world’s most notable artists, West London’s Izzi Dunn is ready to return with her scintillating second album Cries And Smiles.
Cries And Smiles is the latest unique chapter from a self-sufficient musician (she writes, produces and plays most of her own material) who has already had a remarkable career. As a cellist she’s played for the likes of Mark Ronson, Gorillaz, Chaka Khan and Soul II Soul. Izzi has also graced the cream of the UK ...
