Danish surf rock trio The Good The Bad release their new single ’023′ on February 13th, accompanied by a new film directed by Jeppe Kostrup, who infamously created the previous TGTB video hit ’030′.
’023′ sees TGTB delve into harder surf riffs than ever before, coupled with their customary short and sharp twists featuring lions and war cries as backing vocals. The ‘023’ video fully encapsulates the raw energy of the band live and in the full dynamics of their wild west, cinematic surf rock, while a couple of male peacocks go at it ‘True Blood’ style.
One of our favourite bands The Good The Bad will be over to play several Londondates towards the end of September, including the Cherry Cola Crawl on Sat 24th at The Macbeth but they’ll also be hosting a free album launch party at Madame JoJo’s in Soho for their sublime new album ‘From 018 To 033′ on Mon 26th. Well worth checking out! More details here
f you’ve not heard The Good The Bad before take a look/listen to this for an idea:
Back off European tour with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and several killer appearances at festivals this summer The Good The Bad are gearing up to unveil their sophomore album to an unsuspecting public. ‘From 018 To 033’ displays an exciting progression from their critically acclaimed debut, which attracted obsessive support among press and musical peers alike.
The Good The Bad returned between live dates to their Copenhagen base, a nuclear bunker and creative haven for Denmark’s Warhol Factory types to record ‘From 018 To 033’. On it you can hear the spirit of the Wild West channelled through Ennio Morricone, Bill Conti and other masters like Phil Spector, John Barry and Lalo Schifrin

The Good The Bad hail from a nuclear bunker in Copenhagen. Perhaps due to this strange setting and a little too much radiation they have found a sound which literally penetrates everything in its wake. Oozing sex appeal and effortless cool their completely instrumental debut is a screaming barrage of quick fire surf and dirty flamenco riffs, which progress adventurously through the numerical titles from 001-017, pushing the boundaries of this narrow genre with tremelo led licks and vivacious snare shots which ricochet amidst brass rushes, organ grooves and electrifying walls of sound which will leave you begging for more of their unrelenting merciless tidal wave of sexual sound.
