The Good The Bad
The Good The Bad are neither just good, nor bad & they’re definitely not ugly.
They’re the best new band you’ve never heard of. Three desperados, bringing the finest New School Surf & Flamenco to people who don’t yet know how badly they need it. In fact, their lip-trembling, bone-rattling, hip-shaking dirty cool has been increasing the birth-rate in Denmark by the day ever since their own explosive conception just one year ago. That’s why, in that short time, TGTB were invited to play Roskilde
Festival (one of Europe’s largest), German showcase festival Popkomm in Berlin as well as a quick jaunt to Norway. When they’re not touring Europe, The Good The Bad can be found blowing the faces off people in their native city of Copenhagen, where they’ve impressed the more established underground scene and gained a firm fan-base.
The band includes Manoj Ramdas (The Raveonettes, SPEkTR) on bass, Johan Lei Gellett (Henrik Hall, Kira and the Kindred Spirits) on drums and Adam Olsson (The Setting Son, The Aim) on guitar.
“We don’t have a singer because we couldn’t find one that would stand behind the drummer” says Adam.
In 2009 TGTB have been invited to London twice. The first time, they were immediately snapped up by Coda Agency as their booking agent and Lethal as their manager. The second time in March, they were promptly booked up for Hop Farm Festival and a Harley Davidson European Rally in Latvia. Most recently they supported Crystal Antlers to rave reviews: “You might think you have a grip on it. The Danish music
scene, that is. But not quite yet. Below the surface is an illustrative, sovereign surf rock band
called The Good The Bad, and through a strong set of instrumental charm, this powerful trio ready themselves with the audience with 10-15 short songs. It was as if adventure had been resumed. And bold warning for tonights headliners, the equally intense Crystal Antlers from Long Beach California….”
The Good The Bad are now holed-up in their former World War II bunker in Copenhagen, preparing for a much-anticipated and atmospheric return to the UK followed by their debut EP release this summer:
“Sounds Like Link Wray meets the Eagles of Death Metal. You’d do well to check this out”
